HAGATNA, Guam (AP) — The chief of staff for Guam Gov. Eddie Calvo is stepping down due to health issues.

HAGATNA, Guam (AP) — The chief of staff for Guam Gov. Eddie Calvo is stepping down due to health issues.

The Pacific Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/1FbnmDH) Frank Arriola said in a letter to the governor that while his health has shown some improvement, he feels strongly that he should step down from his duties.

Calvo said in a news release that Arriola is an invaluable member of his staff.

He’s appointed buildup director Mark Calvo to take over the job as of Saturday.
